Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko awarded with the highest state honors of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko awarded the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko with the Order of Francisk Skorina. The relevant decree was signed on 3 April.

A week before, on 29 March, the decision to award Valentina Matvienko with the Order of St. Andrew the Firstcalled for a long-standing fruitful governmental activity was signed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
