IPA CIS model law-making activities became one of the key issues at the meeting of the Committee for Legislation and Regulations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia

The meeting of the Committee for Legislation and Regulations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia took place in Polotsk (Belarus). The participants discussed the experience of implementing model laws on the example of the functioning of various integration associations.

The members of the Committee were briefed on the role of CIS model laws in the legislative processes of the Commonwealth countries. The MPs also discussed the draft Concept on Approximation of the Legislation of the States Parties to the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State and discussed other issues related to ensuring equal rights for citizens of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

Members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, representatives of the Union State Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Youth Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia were invited to participate in the event.
