Chairperson and Members of IPA CIS Council Took Part in Events Dedicated to 77th Anniversary of Victory

Celebrations dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 are taking place in the CIS countries today.
Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin took part in the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow.
President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev visited the grave of the twice Hero of the USSR, Major General of Tank Forces Hazi Aslanov, laid flowers and honored the memory of all the sons of Azerbaijan who died in the war.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan and President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan commemorated those who died during the war by laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Yerevan’s Victory Park.
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko took part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Monument.
The solemn ceremony dedicated to the Victory Day was attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev and Speaker of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Koshanov.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov, veterans and public representatives took part in a meeting-requiem at the Eternal Flame in Bishkek.
Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Igor Grosu, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Gavrilița and other MPs laid flowers at the Eternity Memorial Complex in Chisinau.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Speaker of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali and Speaker of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zoir Zokirzoda visited Victory Park in Dushanbe and laid wreaths in memory of the victims of the war.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva and Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov took part in a solemn event in Victory Park in Tashkent.
