Composition of Parliament of Republic of Moldova of 11th Convocation Sets Record of Number of Women MPs

The new Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, formed following the outcomes of the snap elections of 11 July 2021, includes 40 women, which amounts to 39,6% of the total number of MPs. It exceeded the previous record in the history of the Parliament set in 2019 – 25,7%.
Thus, the Republic of Moldova is now among the countries with a high representation of women-parliamentarians.
