Forum of Women of Kyrgyz Republic Took Place in Jogorku Kenesh

Today the conference “Modern Socio-Economic Processes: Problems, Trends, Prospects” took place in the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. The conference was organized by the Forum of Women of the Kyrgyz Republic and chaired by the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Ainuru Altybaeva. The event was attended by women from all over the Republic,  MPs, heads of ministries and departments.

The participants of the meeting discussed the priority issues of gender policy, the development of women’s entrepreneurship, the education system in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the health and social welfare reforms.

Chairperson of the Women’s Forum of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the Jogorku Kenesh Aynuru Altybaeva emphasized the relevance of the topic under consideration, noting that the Women’s Forum indeed was a working platform to promote political participation of women and the adoption of socially significant laws.

According to the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh, the participants were also presented with speeches by representatives of women’s councils of the regions. The activists touched upon the issues of ensuring social securities for citizens, strengthening the institution of the family, protecting the life and health of women, implementing humanitarian projects, preventing and eliminating all forms of violence against women and children. The participants of the Forum conveyed their practical proposals to the heads of state bodies present at the meeting.
