Kazakh MPs Adopted in First Reading Amendments Concerning Regulation of Agency Work

Today, the plenary session of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by Speaker of the chamber Nurlan Nigmatulin adopted in the first reading the amendments concerning the provisions regulating the agency work.

The developers of the draft amendments carefully studied the international experience and proposed a new mechanism adapted to the Kazakh law and practice. The draft law establishes that the basic wage of the agency worker should be no less than the wage of the regular workers on a similar position. It also addresses the issues of flexible forms of employment and development of efficient mechanisms to increase labour mobility. The law regulates the rights, responsibilities and liability of the parties, as well as the accident investigation procedure.
