Russia and Belarus to Hold a Patriotic Campaign to Unite Youth of Two Countries

Today, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev held a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Railways company on the inter-parliamentary military-patriotic project “Memory Train”.

According to the senator, the campaign was initiated by speakers of the upper houses of the parliaments of Russia and Belarus – Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova – and is aimed at patriotic education of young people.

It is expected that participants of the campaign will include schoolchildren from Russia and Belarus, who will be able to visit several cities of the two countries, including Brest, Minsk, Smolensk, Moscow, as well as Patriot Park in Kubinka near Moscow, meet with veterans, visit museum and get acquainted with the history of the Great Patriotic War.
