IPA CIS Council Chairperson met with the President of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman

IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko had a meeting with President of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman Yahya bin Mahfouz al-Manzari. The meeting focused on the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. According to Valentina Matvienko, there is still a lot to do to strengthen the interparliamentary partnership. In particular, she emphasized the importance of the parliamentarian cooperation within the Federation Council Cooperation Group with Arabian Parliaments, the Inter-Parliamentary Union and other international parliamentary organizations.

The talks were constructive and essential touching upon relevant issues of regional and international agenda, she said to the press.
