Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic of Uzbekistan Expand Cooperation in Field of Combating Illegal Immigration

According to its press-service, the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved the ratification of the agreement with the Republic of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in Combating Illegal Immigration.

As described in the report to the Agreement, it is aimed at countering illegal immigration through the exchange of statistical, methodological and other information. The parties will cooperate in training the staff of the relevant migration agencies, as well as in researching and organizing joint operational and preventive activities to combat illegal migration.

The law had been previously adopted by MPs of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and will be submitted for signing by President Kasym-Jomart Tokaev.
