13th Belarusian International Media Forum “Partnership for the Future” starts in Minsk

On 11–14 September the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus hosts the 13th Belarusian International Media Forum “Partnership for the Future: Digital Agenda for Media Sector” in Minsk and Minsk region.

The Forum is organized in the context of the digitization of the Eurasian Economic Union, development of digital economy and information society in Belarus, enhancing the performance of modern mass media.

Media leaders, distinguished political scientists, experts from more than 30 CIS and foreign countries will take part in the Forum.

The key events of the Forum are the Plenary Session with thematic panel discussions, and master classes by leading foreign and Belarusian media professionals, as well as experts of the Summer School of Journalism.

Four special sections will be held alongside with the main events: the panels “Web Sources as Efficient Tools to Shape Public Opinion. Areas of Sociological Research of Web Sources”, “Broadcasting and New Network Technologies: Challenges or Opportunities”, “Digitalization of Media Sector: New Image of Traditional Media”, and the roundtable “Union State in the Age of New Media: Positioning Strategy”.

The Summer School of Journalism “Journalist Education in the Context of Digital Technologies” kicks off on 13 September.

The Forum is co-organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus and the Permanent Committee of the Union State with the support of the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the CIS (IFESCCO), the CIS Executive Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk City Executive Committee, Belarus State University, EcooM Analytical Center, and Belarusian Association of Journalists.
